1. What we collect
DwellAtlas collects the information you provide directly to use the app, plus minimal device and usage data so we can keep the service running well.
Information you provide
- Account: name, email address, phone number (optional), password.
- Property data: addresses, unit details, lease terms, rent amounts, inspection records you create.
- Tenant data: tenant names, contact information, payment history for tenants you invite or manage.
- Photos: inspection photos you capture. Photos may include optional location metadata for verification purposes. Location is never tracked in the background.
- Documents: leases, insurance certificates, vendor invoices, and other documents you upload.
- Payment data: if you connect Stripe for rent collection, payment processing happens through Stripe. We store payment metadata (amounts, dates, statuses) but never card numbers or bank account numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device info: device type, operating system version, app version, language.
- Usage data: features used, screens visited, errors encountered. Used to improve the app.
- Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications.
2. How we use it
- To provide the DwellAtlas service: storing your portfolio data, processing rent payments, sending invitations, generating reports.
- To communicate with you: account notifications, security alerts, product updates you opt into.
- To improve the app: anonymized usage analytics and error tracking.
- To comply with legal obligations: tax reporting, fraud prevention, security audits.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to run DwellAtlas. We do not sell your data to anyone.
- Supabase hosts our database and authentication. Data resides in their secure infrastructure.
- Stripe processes payments. If you use rent collection, Stripe receives the data needed for processing.
- RevenueCat handles subscription management for paid tiers.
- Resend sends transactional emails (tenant invites, password resets).
- Apple and Google deliver push notifications when you opt in.
- Legal requests: we comply with valid subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes.
4. Your rights
You can:
- Access your data: request a full export at any time.
- Correct your data: update profile information directly in the app.
- Delete your account: in-app via Settings, or via our account deletion page.
- Object to processing for marketing purposes: we do not market to you without explicit opt-in.
- Portability: exported data is provided in standard formats (CSV, JSON).
California, EU, and UK residents have additional rights under CCPA and GDPR. Email support@tealapexgroup.com to exercise them.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (typically financial records for 7 years).
6. Security
DwellAtlas data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices including row-level security in our database, scoped API keys, and regular security audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.
7. Children
DwellAtlas is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you in-app or via email for material changes. The effective date above will always reflect the latest version.
