Option 1: Delete in the app (fastest)
This is the fastest way. Your account is deleted immediately.
- Open DwellAtlas on your phone.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted.
Option 2: Email us
If you cannot access the app, email support@tealapexgroup.com from the email address on your account. Include the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will verify your identity and delete your account within one business day.
What gets deleted
- Your DwellAtlas account record.
- Your profile (name, email, phone, avatar).
- Your properties, units, leases, and tenants you created.
- Inspection records, work orders, and photos you uploaded.
- Documents you uploaded.
- Push notification tokens and session data.
What is retained
We retain a minimum set of records where legally required.
- Financial records: rent collection and payment records are retained for 7 years for tax and audit purposes. These are stripped of personal identifiers wherever possible.
- Security logs: aggregated, anonymized logs of authentication events are retained for 90 days for fraud prevention.
- Backups: recent encrypted backups may include your data for up to 30 days before being overwritten in the normal backup rotation.
What happens to tenants I invited
If you are a property manager who invited tenants:
- Your tenants' accounts are not deleted automatically. They remain in DwellAtlas with their own data intact.
- Property records you created are removed. Tenants see a notification that their landlord has left DwellAtlas.
- Tenants can export their own data or delete their own accounts independently.
Can I get my data first?
Yes. Before deleting, you can export your data in the app (Settings → Account → Export Data) or by emailing support@tealapexgroup.com. Exports are provided in standard formats (CSV, JSON).
